Women Empowerment

Increasing evidence suggests that when women’s rights are protected, families are better able to provide for their children’s health, education,  and nutrition. Early on, women would get married and move out from  under their parents’ roof, which often led to incidences of gender-based violence, separation, and disagreements within their households sincewomen were found liable for the state of their relationships. While women’s battles and the development of their empowerment were first tied to the assertion of their rights and opinions, today, a woman’s fulfilment is also linked to her desire to get educated and advance professionally. This is something she passes on to her children BASTA is aimed at introducing women empowerment schemes and campaigns into remote areas of the country. We believe that once a woman knows her worth, her children will become worthy of arespectable livelihood. Once she herself gets educated and empowered only then she will know the difference that education creates in the evolution of individuals. As a result, she will not just encouragechildren to go to school but also educate them towards their rights and duties.
