Every year 8th March is celebrated as International Women’s Day. But we decided to celebrate it during Navaratri (Observing Navratri as a celebration of women’s empowerment).

This year my goal is to create a gender-equal world. Its about celebrating a woman’s success and raising awareness against bias.

Basta foundation is coming up with the project ‘Tejaswini ’ which is a skill training program for women.! The process of acquisition of knowledge, learning skills, creating habits, and self-development are just a few words that can give a brief of this huge project.!

Women empowerment means giving them the ability to “control their life and claim their rights”. Financial independence is not only a source of confidence but also gives women the credibility to participate in important matters of decision making, for themselves and their families.

This is relevant to both, women from low-income communities, as well as women from affluent families, where making women financially independent is not considered a priority.
