We need feminism, not for just urban women, but also for rural women.
Majority of the Feminists, who fight using social media platforms, have no idea of sufferings of rural woman.
Their husbands are drunkards. Their husbands beat them everyday. They earn the livelihood and raise their children while their husbands steal utensils from their own home and sell it for alchohol.
There’s a whole another side, which is more terrible, unsettling and heinous. That side is overshadowed by the lights of metropolitan cities.
And that’s where we need feminism the most.
We need to empower women there. We need to teach them to stand up for themselves and raise their voices against those who mistreat them.
We definitely need feminism, but at the right place, for right things and for the women who actually need it.
Vocational training is a key to improving productivity, employability and income earning opportunities, enhancing food security and promoting environmentally sustainable economic development and livelihoods for women in the slum areas.
