On the occasion of X-mas, free medical care is the best gift we can give.
I have been serving in the slums of Delhi NCR for some time now! We are happy to share that this is where we have reached with our constant efforts.!
Basta Foundation in Noida, with the joint effort of PORTEA, held a free health camp in various slums.
In this program, team Portea and Vaibhav Tewari with their professional experts, held a free health checkup. It mainly targeted the kids and women.
The families were educated on how to practice hygienic good practices both at home and at school.Slums and villages are one of those areas where poverty is not just an abstract concept but a reality that affects the daily lives of hundreds of families. Accessing basic medical services is a major challenge, particularly for children.
Thanks to the contribution of volunteers, medical staff, and people of good will, we managed to provide medical assistance for hundreds of children and women.
Rani, age 11, expressed her gratitude by saying, “This is the first time a doctor has visited me.” In a place where most people are illiterate and struggle to obtain the necessary documents to access health services,
this initiative has also revealed a worrying picture: many children suffer from malnutrition. This highlights the urgent need for broader intervention, which goes beyond medical assistance.
We need your support to reach more areas of India.!
