Hunger is not just a stomach thing
It will only get worse if nothing is done to help. Children, especially those younger than five, are the most vulnerable, because they need critical nutrients to build strength and immunity against disease.
Our main target population is anyone who lacks the necessary nutrients and is unable to purchase meals due to a lack of funds. We give food to those in need. Hourly and daily wage workers will certainly struggle to make enough money for food, leaving them and their children to go to bed hungry since they have no way to cover expenses
Basta foundation also focuses on long-term solutions that foster resilience. One element of our current approaches that aids families in navigating a food crisis on their own is training in livelihood skills.
