This Independence Day, the most meaningful celebration for us at Basta was not simply holding the Tricolour — it was seeing children hold it with hope in their eyes.

For us, freedom is not only the freedom we inherited in 1947.
It is the freedom a child feels when she can learn.
The freedom to dream beyond her circumstances.
The freedom to ask questions, imagine a future and believe that she belongs in it.

At Basta, we believe that education is one of the most powerful forms of freedom.

Every classroom we create, every book we put into a child’s hands, every skill we teach and every opportunity we make accessible is a small step towards a more equal India.

Today, surrounded by these young faces and our Tiranga, we are reminded that nation-building does not always happen in grand halls.

Sometimes, it happens in a modest classroom.
Around a shared table.
Through a book.
Through a teacher.
Through one child who begins to believe, “I can.”

As India celebrates its 80th Independence Day, our commitment remains simple:

To build an India where every child has the freedom to learn, dream and rise.

Because the truest way to honour the freedom fighters who built our nation is to keep building the nation they dreamed of.
